Using Digital Cameras For Home Maintenance
It doesn't matter, whether you did or didn't take any
pictures of your house in the past, but you're going to need to start
taking them in the future. Every once in a while someone asks me for
some home maintenance tip's and the best advice I can give anyone, is to
make sure that you purchase and use a digital camera for all of your
home maintenance and repairs.
It doesn't matter what you're doing to your home, grab your digital
camera and start taking pictures. If you dig up a sprinkler line, take a
picture of it. Get a measuring tape out and measure the distance that
the sprinkler pipe is from your house, just in case you need to locate
it in the future.
Let's look at home repairs for a moment. You're repairing a damage
section of the exterior of your home. Get the digital camera out and
start taking pictures. Let's fast forward ahead 10 years and you can't
remember which part of the house you actually repaired, because another
section is starting to suffer from the same type of damage. Your digital
camera will provide you with instant memory, as long as you saved the
pictures.
One of the most important uses for a digital camera and home maintenance
is the fact that you can take as many pictures as you want of the
outside and inside of your home and it's not going to cost you very much
money. If someone else notices spots, cracks or other types of damage
and you don't remember seeing them before, find the old pictures and
your problem solved.
I use a digital camera to take pictures of almost everything that I do,
to my home in other homes. It's a great source and could save you a lot
of frustration in the future. Don't forget, that a picture is worth a
thousand words and if you don't have them, you're going to have to do a
lot of thinking and remembering.
