I'm Looking For A Good Contractor, Where Are They
If you're really looking for a good contractor, they're
out there. The only problem is how you actually find one of them. I
don't know how many times I've looked through the Yellow Pages, used
online construction referral services and even asked my friends and
family for referrals.
I don't know how many times someone has referred me to a contractor that
they truly loved, but by the time they were done working on my project,
I was only left with disgust and disappointment. This isn't the first
time that something like this has happened and I'm sure that it won't be
the last.
If you're really looking for a good contractor, you need to ask your
self some questions first. What type of contractor are you looking for?
How much money do you want to spend on the project? How important is it
for your contractor and his construction crew to have enough experience
to complete the project correctly?
It's not just about finding a contractor that fits into two of these
categories, you need to find a contractor that fits and all three of
them. What type of contractor are you looking for? If you're looking for
the cheapest contractor, are you willing to sacrifice quality and
experience for pricing?
If your contractor has 30 years experience remodeling bathrooms, but his
construction crew only has two years of experience, this isn't going to
work in your favor. Start by asking yourself the right questions first,
before you start looking for a good contractor.
Make a list of all of the things that you're looking for in a
contractor, before you start searching for one. It's not going to do you
or the contractor any good, if you really don't know what type of
contractor you’re truly looking for.
