Hiring A Christian Contractor - Watch Out
Let's just say that you belong to a church, and there are
a few contractors that everyone uses at the church. These contractors
are nice people and you know them to be generous and giving Christians.
You're thinking about doing some work to your home and are entertaining
the thought of actually hiring one of them.
I would like to point something out here, that most Christians, might
not realize. However, there are plenty of Christians that know this to
be true. Not all Christians are honest. I know, that probably shocks a
lot of people, but it's actually true.
When hiring a Christian contractor, don't let the fact that they belong
to your church and everyone loves them, become a determining factor on
whether or not these people will get the job. Don't get me wrong, I'm
not saying that all Christian contractors aren’t honest, what I am
saying here, and I would like you to really give this a lot of thought,
is that some, some Christian contractors might not be the best people to
higher for your project.
Here's what I'm suggesting, if there is 1, 2 or even more than three
contractors at your church that build room additions and you're thinking
about building a room addition, what would it hurt to have at least a
couple of them bid your job. Simply select those who you would like to
work with and explain your situation to them.
You can have as many Christian contractors as you want to bid your job,
but I would also like to suggest that you get a few outside contractors
and don't tell anyone at your church, that you're going to be getting
estimates from other contractors.
Now here's something else that you're probably not going to want to
hear, especially if you're a Christian. These contractors at your
church, might be friends and discuss the job with each other, putting
together a price, so that one of them can get the job and then pay the
other ones off, for helping him get the job.
I know, this stuff never happens, but you'd be surprised how often
things like this do. With the outside contractor bidding your job, this
will at least keep some of the Christian contractors honest.
If these people are friends of yours, they might be offended, if you
give the job to another contractor. Keep this in mind, when trying to
figure out which contractor you're going to use.
