Fundamentals Of Bathroom Storage - Contractor's Point Of View
If you're planning on remodeling your bathroom, you
should understand the fundamentals of bathroom storage. I don't know how
many times someone tells me that they don't need this or they don't need
that in the bathroom, only to find out that they do.
The fundamentals of bathroom storage start with understanding what's
actually stored inside the bathroom. Some people like dishtowels,
washcloths, cleaning detergents and other grooming products within their
reach. If you're the kind of person that likes to stand at your sink and
have everything that you need within your reach, you're probably going
to think twice before installing a pedestal sink.
Pedestal sinks don't have any room to store anything underneath them,
unless you're planning on setting it on the floor. These sinks look
great, but create big storage problems for their owners. Remodeling a
bathroom without thinking about the storage, would be like building a
house without any closets.
You need to think and plan your bathroom remodeling project all the way
through, before you start to build it. If your current bathroom has a
linen closet and you don't use it at all, you can think about getting
rid of it, but make sure that you don't need it, before actually getting
rid of it.
There aren’t very many things inside of a bathroom that you can do much
with. You're not going to be able to store things in your toilet, but
you could store things above it. You're not going to be able to store
things in your bathroom and shower either. Focus on the things that you
can and forget about the things that you can't, but remember how
important bathroom storage actually is.
