Could Household Cats Solve Your Mice Problems?
The answer to this question is more than likely going to
be,” Absolutely without a doubt, 100%, yes.” I'm not saying that cats
are going to solve everyone's mouse problem, all of the time, but I can
tell you a story about one man that had never been happier.
It was about a year ago to this day, that two stray cats wandered into
our backyard. The smaller cat was extremely weak and it didn't look like
it was more than a couple of months old. It looked like the older cat
had been providing the younger cat with food, but tough times eventually
forced these wild cats into our backyard and human contact.
My wife took care of the cats and it wasn't long before she had adopted
the two cats and another stray. I personally do not want any more cats
around my house, because they poop all over the place and believe it or
not, some of this stuff smells pretty bad. Anyway, back to my story.
When we moved into our home, there wasn't a mouse or rat to be found. I
did find small amounts of what look like it was mouse droppings around
the forced air heater and in our outdoor shed, but that was about it. I
was extremely happy to be living in a rodent free home and it wasn't
long, before I realized that the feral cats who roamed our neighborhood
deserved the credit.
Since the cats have been hanging around our front and backyard, they
have only managed to bring us two mice. If you're having problems with
mice or other rodents and you like cats, it wouldn't be a bad idea to
see if these feline creatures could help you solve your pest control
problem.
