The Broken Fire Hydrant Almost Destroyed The Home
Every once in a while, I run into something that I
haven't ever seen before. Some of these things I might have heard about,
but when I actually see them, it's a completely different picture. This
is what happened to a home when a fire hydrant broke.

Broken Fire Hydrant Home Damage
The broken fire hydrant almost destroyed the home. I
couldn't believe what I was actually seeing as the water from the fire
hydrant was shooting up in the air between 30 and 40 feet. It wouldn't
have been as big of a deal, if the water was actually spraying into the
street, but that wasn't the case.
The water was actually spraying the house and I don't even know how to
describe it accurately. It was spraying over the garage and running down
the front of the house at an unbelievable rate. I wouldn't have believed
it, if I didn't see it with my own eyes.
I couldn't have ever imagined how much water even came out of a broken
fire hydrant, let alone how much water pressure it actually had. I now
have a pretty good idea, what it would be like to have a tremendous
hurricane or storm raging in this neighborhood.
I don't know how much water damage the broken fire hydrant actually
caused to this particular home, but it had to be tremendous. With that
much water attacking the home and that much force, there had to be some
major water damage.
The moral to the story is, if you live near a fire hydrant, make sure
that it never breaks.
