Wasting My Money - Brand New Home Inspections
If you think that the home isn't built good, you
shouldn't buy it. Having a brand-new house inspected, doesn't make a lot
of sense unless you're worried about the home builder and if that's the
case, you should think twice before even purchasing it.
Here's why I think a brand-new
home inspection is a waste of time and money. Most new home builders
guarantee their home construction for at least one year. Not only that,
for the price you might pay for a home inspection, you could probably
get an insurance policy to cover any thing that would happen to that
home, for the next few years.
Now for homes that are over 10 years old, I would definitely consider
getting a home inspection. Something like this makes sense, but getting
a brand-new home inspection, doesn't make a lot of sense, especially if
you have any types of guarantees from the home builder.
Just because you have a guarantee, doesn't mean that your worry free.
How long has your home builder, been in business? Has he built other
homes in your neighborhood and do the homeowners have any problems with
their homes. If there is a problem, how soon can it be solved by the
home builder?
If you're the type of person who's always worrying about everything, go
ahead and get a brand-new home inspection, but I really don't recommend
it, if the home was built by a reputable home builder, your problems
should be limited. Even if you got your brand-new home inspected, how do
you really know that your home inspector didn't miss anything?
